- Title
A SHORT HISTORY OF AN EXOTIC CARNIVOROUS PLANTING IN NEW JERSEY, USA.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the history of exotic carnivorous planting in Pine Barrens, New Jersey. Introduction of exotic carnivorous plants such as Sarracenia species and Dionaea in Pine Barrens was done by Jim Bockowski in 1977. Although the site Bockowski selected provided a degree of isolation for the plants, changes in hydrology over the years allowed the spread of the seeds to the rest of the barrens. By 2010, discovery of aberrant Sarracenia confirms that genetic contamination has occurred.
