- Title
THE UNINVITED INFERENCE.
- Authors
Lebo, Joseph R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the implications of uninvited or unsupported inferences for the receivers of information. According to the author, uninvited inferences have resulted from different factors including wishful thinking of the providers of information towards the subjects or topics involved. Consequently, these unsupported inferences would affect the receivers in their perception on various things. These inferences would also result to unnecessary frustration, if the results are not met, as well as embarrassments in conversation, if the information being discussed is totally accepted without further investigation and will be used in future conversations.
