- Abstract
The article presents a study that evaluates the potential preventive effects of exercise or meditation on the duration, incidence and severity of acute respiratory infection (ARI) illness. It notes that community-recruited adults aged 50 years and older were included in the study and undergone 8-week training in mindfulness meditation and moderate, sustained exercise. Moreover, results highlight the beneficial effects of training in meditation or exercise on the reduction of ARI illness burden.
