- Abstract
An iterative approach to the approximate computation of the bistatic scattering width (BSW) for nonlinear multilayer concentric circular cylinders is proposed. The nonlinear layers are assumed to exhibit a Kerr-like nonlinearity. The approach is based on the distorted-wave Born approximation, and the initial linear solution is obtained by using the recursive Richmond formulas. A TM illumination is considered. Numerical results are reported, concerning weakly nonlinear shells and concentric cylinders coated with nonlinear layers, or presenting nonlinear dielectric nuclei.
