- Abstract
The article discusses a study which aims to synthesize polycarbonate (PC) glycol based on polyurethane elastomers (PUEs) and the effect of side chain alkyl content on mechanical properties and microphase separation structure. The study involves five PC glycols with propyl group substituted with n-butyl and ethyl groups (BEPD) and hexamethylene group (HD). It was observed that the increase in BEPD content was associated to the decrease in microphase separation level.
