- Abstract
The article discusses a court case involving some drivers of Nolan Transport who had been dismissed. The High Court of Ireland awarded the plaintiff of 601,000 pounds in damages. The court applied the Industrial Relations Act 1990 in making the judgment. The Supreme Court overturned the decision of the High Court and emphasized the obligations of trade unions to ensure that secret ballots be properly conducted.
