Title
Acute physiological responses in healthy men during whole-body vibration.
Abstract
The article presents a study that evaluates the influence of backrest support and handgrip contractions on the physiological responses of 13 men during whole-body vibration (WBV). It reveals that greater responses were achieved during sitting without backrest in 3 and 4.5 and 3 and 6 hertz (Hz). It also shows that heart rate and oxygen responses were greater during 3 and 4.5 Hz combined with hand-grip contractions.
