- Abstract
new formula is obtained for the cross section of light scattering by electron under conditions where the damping of its oscillations is related entirely to the spontaneous re-radiation of photon. The cross section for resonant light scattering can become macroscopic, which is only possible in a nanocluster where the phonon energy is greater than the photon energy.
