- Abstract
The article discusses the role of ecclesiology in Baptist theology. Topics include the importance of postmodern culture for Christian thinking, the views of theologians Stanley Grenz and Hans Urs von Balthasar on ecclesiology, and a decline in church membership in postmodern society. Also noted are the book "Towards Baptist Catholicity," by Steve Harmon, the role of Christology and Trinitarian theology in the doctrine of the church, and the role of love in a so-called theo-ethical ontology oriented toward Christian unity.
