- Abstract
The article focuses on the economic conditions in China in 1979. The globalization of the country's economy has boosted greatly during the year, with avenues opened to direct foreign investment and acceptance of loans from foreign banks. Additionally, several provinces have been authorized to deal directly with foreign firms. However, during the National People's Congress convention, it was revealed that China has a budget deficit of $65.4 million.
