- Abstract
The article presents a case report involving a 54-year-old male with persistent ductus venosus associated with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension. A transthoracic two-dimensional echocardiogram revealed a large ascites attached to the abdominal wall anteriorly and to the liver posteriorly. A blood vessel was noted running to the free edge of the falciform ligament. This vessel, from the umbilicus to the portal vein, was diagnosed as persistent ductus venosus.
