- Abstract
The article discusses several benefits of domestic violence civil protection orders ("POs") for domestic violence victims. Topics discussed include POs providing victim safety by prohibiting contact between victim and abuser, POs considered as civil orders, changes made to the PO process such as ability of petitioners to file for an order pro se, and promotion of social inequalities by PO process.
