- Abstract
The article focuses on the influence of Arthur Rackham in the early fiction of Italian artist and novelist Dino Buzzati. It states that Buzzati uses a special kind of ékphrasis in his passages which directly raise the visual world of Rackham. It mentions Buzzati admires most the fairy-tale atmosphere and the creation of strange creatures in Rackham's art. It adds that the anthropomorphization of trees is the feature that mostly admired by Buzzati in Rackham.
