- Abstract
Together with Max Planck, his doctoral advisor, Laue (the "von" entered his name in 1913) counts among the first physicists who accepted and further developed Einstein's theory of relativity. As with Laue's work on the special theory of relativity, no effort is made to discuss his contributions to general relativity in relation to historical studies on this subject such as I The Genesis of General Relativity i edited by Jürgen Renn in 2007. Michael Eckert studied physics at the Technical University in Munich with a diploma in 1976.
