The article offers information on a study related to use of aqueous extract of amla to improve various factors in patients with metabolic syndrome (MetS.) It mentions evaluation the effects of two different doses of a standardized aqueous amla extract versus placebo on endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and lipid profiles in patients with MetS; and also mentions significant improvements in lipid profiles in the two Capros groups.
