- Abstract
The article offers a patient page which provides information on neurofibromatosis (NF). NF is a genetic disorder characterized by skin abnormalities and tumors that form on nerve tissue, which can appear anywhere in the body. The two types of NF are defined as distinct disorders called NF1 and NF2. NF1 is also referred to as Von Recklinghausen disease and is more common. Symptoms include weakness, numbness, tingling, soft bumps, visual difficulties, and bone deformities.
