The article presents a case study of a 40-year old male diagnosed with atrial septal defect (ASD) with left-to-right shunts in his heart. It mentions that the patient underwent surgical removal of ASD device after it got embolized in right ventricle (RV). It notes that the ASD and device were shown by intraoperative transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE).
