The article highlights the sculpture of Zhang Huan called "Big Buddha." It is shown that the sculpture is formed in a human skeleton rendered in wood and sitting in a birdcage conveyed both innocence and drama. It aims to decipher Huan's mysterious and ambiguous work. Details on the other artworks of Huan are also provided.
