- Abstract
This article is a memorial tribute to Catherine "Kasha" Rigby, a legendary ski mountaineer who was known for her pioneering spirit and love for skiing and traveling. Rigby competed in telemark racing and extreme skiing competitions, and she skied first descents in major mountain ranges around the world. She impacted generations of skiers and was considered a legend in the sport. Rigby also worked in disaster relief in Nepal and Bangladesh before tragically passing away in an avalanche while skiing in Kosovo. She was remembered for her adventurous spirit, kindness, and love for the world.
