- Abstract
Abstract—The article briefly describes the results of integrated geological, geophysical, and hydrophysical studies on the shelves of the Barents and Kara seas. The research was aimed at substantiating the most probable scenario of development of natural conditions of Russia's Western Arctic against ongoing climate warming, sea level rise, and increasing anthropogenic impact. Studies have confirmed widespread modern hazardous geological and geomorphological processes of different genesis in the Barents–Kara region.
