- Abstract
The article addresses issues pertaining to the pension system adopted in France and the efforts to reform the pension system as of October 2005. An overview of the French pension system is provided. Several aspects of the pension system that needs to be reformed and why there is a need for urgency. From 1990 to 2003, two reform efforts were made but were also rejected.
