- Abstract
The article reports on the visit of the Dalai Lama in Taiwan from August 30 to September 4, 2009. According to Khedroob Thondup, nephew of the Dalai Lama, the Kuomintang (KMT) government told the Dalai Lama to curtail his activities. It notes the cancellation of his international press conference and the transfer of his lecture to a smaller venue. It also mentions the report of political analyst Hsu Yung-ming summing up the effect of the trip on the Sino-Taiwan relationship.
