- Abstract
The article focuses on the natural citrine with eye-visible Brazil-law twinning, which was analyzed by the a laboratory in New York using standard gemological examination. While Brazil-law twinning is common in amethyst and citrine, it is usually seen only after observation using a polariscope and an immersion cell. The citrine under examination was set in a yellow metal brooch with numerous colors and shaped transparent stones. The stone, with its faceted shape, limits the transmission of polarized light.
