- Authors
Chadwick, Karen; Laurs, Brendan M.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the properties of some sinhalite specimens found in Mogok, Burma. Color ranges from pale yellow to pale brownish yellow, with the brown coloration attributed to iron. Clouds, two-phase inclusions and colorless graining were among the results of the microcospic examination. Significant levels of iron were found in some of the stones, while other trace elements were also detected like chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), and zinc (Zn).
