- Abstract
A case study of a 43‑year‑old male without any co‑morbidity presented with acute onset and progressive weakness of bilateral upper and lower limbs. Topics include Fluoro‑deoxy‑glucose positron emission tomography (FDG PET) screening for underlying occult malignancy revealed a solid nodule with circumscribed margins; and possibility of inflammatory myopathy was considered dermatomyositis (DM) or viral myositis.
