- Abstract
A novel acid dye dyeable acrylic fibers contained amino with chitosan as cationic modification agent and alkali modified acrylic fabric as starting material had been prepared successfully. Alkali modified acrylic fabric was carried out on acrylic fabric with sodium hydroxide. The dye uptake of acid red B dyeing of chitosan modified acrylic fabric as investigation index. The optimum modification process were as follows: chitosan concentration 5. 0 g/L, dibasic sodium phosphate 3.0 g/L, treating at 85℃ for 30 min, curing at 150℃ for 50 s. The breaking strength and whiteness or dyeing properties of acrylic fabric and alkali modified acrylic fabric or chitosan modified acrylic fabric were examined. The results showed that the chitosan modified acrylic fabric was like wool in appearance, and kept good mechanical properties, the dye uptake can reach 52. 85%, the K/S value is 6. 270.
