Phillips, Fred; Flynn, Charles; Kloeppel, Heidi
- Abstract
The article presents a case study on the restoration of the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area in Arizona. It notes that the project was authorized by the U.S. Congress through the National Park Service to create a voluntary community in the restoration and conservation of the natural, cultural, and historic resources. It adds that initial work included clearing and burning of non-native vergetation, excavation of historic channels, and the installation of water control structures.
