- Abstract
The article focuses on penal provisions addressed to corruption in sports and the failure of sports betting legislation to address gaps in those provisions. It mentions European experience with match-fixing and growing acknowledgment of the necessity of defining criminal offenses specific to sports corruption and recommendations for a public-private collaboration to safeguard sport integrity. It also mentions sports gambling bills authorize new criminal offenses.
