- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 26-year-old female with an unusual depression on the right upper arm and on the right superior buttock. The woman was diagnosed with lipoatrophy iatrogenic due to intramuscular (IM) triamcinolone acetonide that was administered either in high concentrations or by improperly placed injections. The article notes that the condition could have been avoided by placing the injections properly and that it can be trated by saline injections.
