- Abstract
The article examines the right to a physical hearing in international arbitration in light of the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on arbitral procedures. Topics discussed include the advantages and disadvantages of remote hearings and the value of remote hearings in the legal assessment of the right of a party to a physical hearing, fundamental elements of international arbitration such as due process and party autonomy, and the Swedish and U.S. jurisdictions on a right to a physical hearing.
