- Title
USING DELEGATION TO PROMOTE DEREGULATION.
- Authors
RAPPAPORT, MICHAEL B.
- Abstract
The article discusses the growth of deregulation of legislative power to administrative agencies in the U.S., which allows agencies to write regulations with little oversight from elected lawmakers, and has become a basic aspect of the country's political system. It notes the arguments of limited regulation advocates to restrain the Congress's delegation of legislative authority. It also suggests the creation of an administrative agency that is given the power to pass deregulations.
