- Title
Theme 6- Plant Microbiome.
- Abstract
The article discusses the development of transgenic plants producing plantibodies against Candidatus Phytoplasma aurantifolia. It states that the witches' broom of lime is a disease caused by Ca. Phytoplasma aurantifolia which is the most significant global threat to the production of lime trees (Citrus aurantifolia). It also states that disease management strategies have shown little success and new approaches based on genetic engineering need to be considered like the produced plantibody.
