- Abstract
The article presents information about Rediisu Komikku or Ladies' Comics. Ladies' Comics are mangas for women in Japan. In 2000, two dozen volumes of Rediisu Komikku were published. The genre of manga for women was established in the 1980s. Ladies' Comics are also rated according to nudity, sex and violent contents. Marriage, family and love are often the themes of Rediisu Komikku. Lead characters in these comics are often from pink-collar occupations usually performed by women. Many Ladies' Comics target married women or soon to be married women.
