B Trends in synthetic diamond b : This Special Collection highlights the current development status of synthetic diamond films and their applications in electrochemistry. Enric Brillas obtained his BS degree in Chemistry in 1974 and received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry in 1977 from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). In 1982, he completed his studies in electrochemistry at the Università di Padova (Italy) with Prof. E. Vianello in the field of organic electrochemistry.
