Improving outcomes for opioid-addicted youth.
- Abstract
The article examines the clinical trial involving opioid-addicted youth and was conducted by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania. The said clinical trial was sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. 152 patients with opioid addictions and aging 15 to 21 was the subject of the study. The study revealed that more extensive treatment is more effective than the traditional approach. Relapse among opioid-addicted youth is also likely even patients have already undergone treatment.
