Alzheimer's and driving ability.
Abstract
The article reports on Alzheimer's disease and its impact on driving ability. It is stated that as Alzheimer's progresses, a patient may have trouble remembering how to maintain control of a car. Although Alzheimer's Association believes that the decision whether a patient should stop driving should be based on driving ability, regular skills reassessment to check for signs of deterioration is still needed. Tips on how to handle conversation with patients about driving are also provided.
