- Abstract
Numerous theorists and practitioners working in the field of management highlight leadership among the key determinants of organizational performance. This paper investigates the impact of transformational and transactional leadership styles on human resources and their satisfaction, engagement and commitment to the company. The goal is to provide an understanding of the importance of leadership to the success of organizations in a complex business environment. The research was conducted on a sample of 120 employees in profit organizations from R.N. Macedonia. The results of this and the research showed that the transformational leadership style positively affects the job satisfaction, motivation and engagement of employees. The significance of this paper is that it provided guidelines for creating a model of leadership styles for еffective organizational functioning in different situations. This research is important for organizational systems because it updates the importance of effective leadership for the productivity of human resources and for improving the economic benefits of companies.
