- Abstract
Not that a storyteller like Pirandelo lacked ideas, not that characters, stories and facts to confess were missing. He chooses novels as his theater workshop and decides to use a magnifying glass over the novel to tell us in the theater what can be seen with the naked eye. Then how does the author take back the same characters and the same story, which has the same end without bothering the reader. Style for it is individuality, it is a special way of thinking, feeling, expressing. Our goal is precisely the transition from the novel to the theater. What are the elements that make your works beautiful? How faithful to his novels? What does it add more to the theater and to what extent? It would be very interesting to get into the spirit of Pirandelian art, find out what made this man a great artist, confessor, essayist, playwright and poet. Pirandelo used his novels as a laboratory for the passage to the theater. So, whenever this great writer decided to write a theater, he would analyze his novels to find a drama, a story or any character, to create a subsequent theater. The themes of his novels constitute, in fact, a sort of laboratory that has been proposed in theatrical works.
