- Abstract
Chapter four has a focus on the dimensions of community development and after discussing what community development is, two Participatory Action Research projects that the authors have worked on are used to demonstrate a range of strategies that promote the engagement of Indigenous community members. Chapter five describes that after a review of literature which found "limited" articles on community development from the Indigenous perspective, five principles for carrying out community development in Indigenous communities emerged. The final chapter seeks to assimilate the diverse perspectives that have been discussed throughout the book to create a vision for community development based on Indigenous Australian worldviews and values.
