- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book “Ordinary Jews: Choice and Survival during the Holocaust" by Evgeny Finkel is presented. Topics discussed include the memoir titled "Still Alive: A Holocaust Girlhood Remembered" by Holocaust survivor Ruth Kluger, the choice made by every Jew in response to persecution and death, and the authors view that the role of gender identity in the behavioral strategies adopted by Jews is missing.
