- Abstract
The High Court of Justice of Castilla y León annulled a resolution that granted environmental authorization for the construction of a composting plant in the municipality of Santas Martas. The city council argued that the installation was not allowed according to the legislation and urban planning, since the land where it would be located is classified as rustic land with agricultural protection. The composting plant would transform sewage sludge into compost, which is considered an industrial use incompatible with soil protection. The sentence highlights that the industrial use is not linked to the agricultural production of the municipality.
