- Title
'Unwise' behaviour could be legitimate under new Act.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the advice of Phil Champion, principal at the Hesley Group, which states that eccentric or unwise requests by people with learning difficulties should be supported in Great Britain. Champion said that requests of this kind have legitimacy under the Mental Capacity Act. He added that it gives people greater autonomy to make decisions and grants legal authority for their next of kin in cases where they are not able to make decisions for themselves.
