- Abstract
The article presents a study which surveys the herpetofauna of Long Island, Middle Andaman. The study uses surveys conducted from April 2 to June 2, 2010 both diurnally and nocturnally. Data were collected with the use of five different sampling strategies which are species richness, encounter rates and relative abundance, density and species richness of forest floor herpetofauna, pitfall traps, glue traps, and opportunistic records. Results show that 29 recorded from the small island and that the five sampling methods used were efficient.
