- Abstract
Eye on the Future Managing Risk Through Innovation By Chris Stewart, Tiffany Armentrout, Daniel Shorstein and Katherine Giesen Over the last decade, an increase in the availability and capability of technology dramatically changed the operational risk environment. Nevertheless, many federal, state and local government organizations are taking on the challenge, applying innovations such as enterprise risk management (ERM), shared services, robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). In government financial operations, open-source data and open-source software already have attracted significant interest and investment, which will continue to increase as more data and software become publicly available.
