- Abstract
The article that a decision by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to award the Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon will not be appealed by the Nigerian federal government due to legal and ethical constraints. According to Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Mohammed Adoke, the government is concerned over allegations of human rights abuses being perpetrated against Nigerians. Nigerians living in Bakassi can seek self determination under international law.
