- Abstract
The Public Health Data Asset (PHDA) 2011 cohort is a population-based cohort in England that combines data from the 2011 Census with Hospital Episodes Statistics and death registration records. It aims to investigate inequalities in mortality and morbidity and understand the social determinants of health. The cohort includes detailed information on sociodemographic characteristics and health outcomes for nearly the entire population of England. However, there are limitations to the PHDA, including non-inclusion of all people living in England and a decline in coverage over time. The data can be accessed through the ONS Secure Research Service.
