Reports that several scientists received awards at a dinner sponsored by the Botanical Society of America (BSA). BSA Merit Awards which were presented to Josiah L. Lowe, William Louis Stern, and Thomas N. Taylor; Prize for Richard L. Moe for his contributions to the morphology, taxonomy, and phytogeography of Antarctic macroalgae; The Edgar T. Wherry Award, which was given to Rodney J. Scott and Leslie G. Hickok for their paper "Genetic analyses of antheridiogen sensitivity in Ceratopteris Richardii."
