- Abstract
The purpose of this article is to describe and to analyze the argentinian trade unions features between 1943 and the last military dictatorship (1976), based on historiographical discourses of specialized literature. Specifically, it focuses on the role of the union leadership, the General Labour Confederation (CGT), starting from identifying key historical moments of dialogue and conflict. These analytical categories, that have their roots in the political and ideological conceptions of trade unions in Argentina ("peronism" and "classism"), are articulated with trade unions positions and dynamics, through their interaction with governments, workers and different trade union tendencies.
