- Authors
Elmore, Barbara
- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study by Doctor Hope Koch's Management Information Systems (MIS) Leadership class conducted in 2009 for Wal-Mart showing students' preference for social networking like Facebooks to find jobs. It considers social networking combined with traditional recruitment methods as tools for recruiting talent and notes that social networking sites attract more Information Systems graduates. Wal-Mart uses LinkedIn as a recruiting tool and Facebook for updating potential candidates on Wal-Mart's recruiting events.
