- Abstract
The article discusses issues concerning virtual teams. The disadvantages of virtual teams are cited such as employee feelings of isolation and fear of losing out on a promotion opportunity. In order to coordinate the work in a virtual team, team members must feel free to use communications and information technology. According to a study on a telecommunications organization that uses virtual team structures, some of the technologies used by team members include conference calls, e-mail and video conferencing.
